From Murcia Airport (MJV) to Puerto Vallarta, Portman

Navigation tools such as Tom Tom, etc., may yield different and more challenging directions. 

On leaving Murcia (San Javier) airport at the main exit (Remember to drive, if your are arriving from the UK, on the RIGHT HAND SIDE of the road). At the next roundabout, TURN RIGHT, under the flyover, go around the roundabout and turn RIGHT signposted CARTAGENA. This leads to the A37 – direction CARTAGENA. Continue on the A37 for approximately 15 kilometres and then take junction 800 on to the MU312 toward La Manga. Join the MU312 via a slip road – take great care when joining the main road from the slip road and make sure you get into the correct lane for LA MANGA.

Continue along this road for approximately 11km, passing exits for Portman, La Union, Llana del Beal. You will eventually see two petrol stations (one on either side of the road) take the next exit RIGHT (Exit 8) to Los Belones, La Manga Club Golf, Los Nietos and Portman (MU314). Follow signs for La Manga Club and Portman. At the end of the exit slip road you come to a roundabout, take the first exit (turn right N-345) continue up this road past the La Manga Club sign and fountains on both sides of the road. Continue past the crossroads with the La Manga Club entrance, past the La Manga West Golf Course and on to a widened and upgraded road over the hill to Portman and Puerto Vallarta’s entrance.
